Way back in 2011, Jadakiss sat down with DJ Vlad and spoke about The Lox almost being in the same car with Biggie the night he was shot and killed. It was due to a feud with Diddy at the time that led to them getting in a separate car and keeping their distance.
During the conversation, Jadakiss also spoke about repairing his relationship with Diddy and how he is thankful for the time he had at Bad Boy. To hear more of what Jadakiss had to say, including why he is appreciative of Diddy giving The Lox back their publishing, hit the above clip.

The Notorious B.I.G.
Christopher George Latore Wallace (May 21, 1972 – March 9, 1997), better known by his stage names The Notorious B.I.G, Biggie, or Biggie Smalls, was an American rapper. Murdered at age 24, Wallace is consistently ranked as one of the greatest and most influential rappers of all time.
Wallace was raised in the Brooklyn borough of New York City. When he released his debut album Ready to Die in 1994, he became a central figure in the East Coast hip hop scene and increased New York's visibility in the genre at a time when West Coast hip hop was dominant in the mainstream. The following year, Wallace led his childhood friends to chart success through his protégé group, Junior M.A.F.I.A. While recording his second album, Wallace was heavily involved in the growing East Coast–West Coast hip hop feud.
On March 9, 1997, Wallace was killed by an unknown assailant in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles. His double-disc album Life After Death, released 16 days later, rose to No. 1 on the U.S. album charts and was certified Diamond in 2000, one of the few hip hop albums to receive this certification. Wallace was noted for his "loose, easy flow", dark semi-autobiographical lyrics and storytelling abilities. Two more albums have been released since his death. He has certified sales of 17 million units in the United States.

She doesn't trust white people and is upset with Jackie's announcement. Clarence (Kwezi Kobus) is Pauline's long-suffering husband. He goes along with whatever Pauline says to make his life easier. Simon and Jackie just want a simple ceremony without getting race or religion involved. They plan a family dinner and invite both sets of parents around to make peace with each other. Unfortunately the Msolisi's bring their evangelical Pastor, Pastor Krotz (Brendon Daniels) to the dinner and the Dawson's bring their unorthodox Rabbi, Rabbi Gershowitz (Adam Neill). The dinner only serves to make the Dawson's and Msolisi's more determined to stop the wedding in its tracks. The Dawson's decide to enrol their daughter, Amanda Dawson (Candice D'Arcy) in their plot to spoil the wedding. The Msolisi's consult a Sangoma (Tina Jaxa) and her bumbling assistant (Nik Rabinowitz). The wedding becomes a battleground as White meets Black, Jew meets Christian and Old meets New. It was due to a feud with Diddy at the time that led to them getting in a separate car and keeping their distance. During the conversation, Jadakiss also spoke about repairing his relationship with Diddy and how he is thankful for the time he had at Bad Boy. Mani Nasry an exceptionally talented filmmaker, actor and artist with a sophisticated breadth of education, skills, experience, and professional accomplishments. He trained as an actor and director in New York with Salem Ludwig and with Donna DeMatteo for playwriting. For Mani, the decision to work in the film industry guided his academic decisions from an early age. He attended a Toronto high school renowned for excellence in the arts, and was accepted into one of the highly competitive film program at Ryerson university. It is notable that he went to Ryerson with an already well-established career in theatre, film, television and commercial work, and a range of multi-faceted achievements including producing, cinematography, casting, writing, directing, acting, and editing. On his own he added stints in New York and Los Angeles with leading acting teachers, as well as learning the grace and style of many forms of dance and athletics. With courses perceptively, he has also recognized the importance of acquiring an understanding of the business side of the industry, and the varied aspects of technology and production. There are some people clearly born to follow the path they have chosen from the start. Mani Nasry has the passion to succeed, the curiosity and ingenuity required to lead and collaborate in an industry known for its impact and appeal, and the strength of character and work ethic to immerse himself in finding and telling an unforgettable story.

Following last week’s opening entry to the “Learn From The Legends” video series, producer Rodney Hazard stays in Brooklyn, New York to talk to another 20-plus-year innovator in Lil Fame. These days, simply “Fame,” the M.O.P. co-founding MC/producer has not only supplied some of his group’s biggest hits, he (as “Fizzy Womack”) expanded into making scorchers for the likes of AZ, Cormega, Wu-Tang Clan, and even Cam’ron.
Speaking with Rodney, Fame opens up about becoming a producer simply by studying the album insert credits to his influences: EPMD, Big Daddy Kane, and KRS-One. He explains how drums are the integral part of his sound, while he avoids hi-hats at all costs.
Nearly eight minutes long, this segment really hones in on Fame’s production. The Brownsvillain explains why it bothers him that he does not get more credit for speeding up the pitch on vocal samples (sometimes called “chipmunk soul” or “chirping”), something that he’s been doing since 1996’s Firing Squad LP. Fame did produce one of the Mash Out Posse’s biggest hits, 2000’s “Cold As Ice,” which employed such a technique with a Foreigner hit.

The First Family co-founder elaborates on their relationship, recalling his adolescent days with Biggie Smalls, and even B.I.G.’s early nickname of “Chubb Rock,” an erroneous label comparing the kid freestyling on Fulton to another Brooklyn MC, who was a Select Records label-mates of Fame’s.
This interview breaks down how M.O.P. and D/R Period were not on speaking terms following 1994’s To The Death debut. However, the fellow Brownsville native’s beat-tape brought the three men together for “Ante Up,” prompting a major crossover hit, and ending the rift. Fame adds that Mash Out’s biggest hit is in fact a simple rhyme routine, “ping pong” as he calls it, and far from a moment that showcased M.O.P.’s lyrical leanings.

"I just look at it like it was supposed to happen... I believed he [Jay Z] was the best rapper. I believed Damon had enough energy to manage this best rapper." And from there, he would go on to help cultivate the career of not just Jay Z, but a number of other artists as well. Clark scored his first street hit with the Junior M.A.F.I.A. classic "Player's Anthem," which featured The Notorious B.I.G. and was also the first record that Lil' Kim appeared on. He discusses Drake and Kendrick Lamar as examples of rappers who have exploded into stardom during the Internet Age due to quality records and how, even with the plethora of avenues for artists to distribute their music and the information overload that lends to an arguably cluttered musical pool, "no matter how much buzz you build, no matter how many people are following you, if you don't have the music, you have no business." His dynamic career and its influential role in the rise of some of the greatest artists we have seen over the last three decades, is a tribute to his musical talent, dedication to craft and ear for great artists.
